Welcome New Qualitative Research to the GreenBook Blog family!
I’m thrilled to announce the launch of our “sister site”: New Qualitative Research! This year is going to see the launch of several content-driven and context specific related sites to the GreenBook Directory and GreenBook Blog, each serving a unique constituency and need within the marketplace.
Here at the GreenBook Blog we’ll continue to focus on providing news as well as provocative, insightful, and relevant content from thought leaders and influencers across the market research industry. Our growing family of sites will do the same, but with unique missions of their own. The first of these sites, New Qualitative Research, is prime example. Here is a description fromDiane Liebenson, Publisher of the GreenBook:
The New Qualitative Research Methods & Tools publication and the companion NewQualitative.org website are produced by GreenBook with the support of the Qualitative Research Consultants Association (QRCA).
Today, there is an unparalleled variety of qualitative methods, including those made possible by online and mobile communications. While traditional qualitative techniques remain popular, new technologies allow researchers to gain insight from customers in novel and different ways.
The New Qualitative Research User Guide will help you understand how some of these methods offer cost savings, while others offer anonymity to share sensitive information, capture behavior and emotions as they happen, or enhance the ability to recruit ‘difficult to find’ respondents. We would like to thank the two co-authors, Jay Zaltzman and Betsy Leichliter, for their efforts to create a readable and balanced overview of new qualitative research approaches.
The Platforms Directory offers a comprehensive overview of qualitative research software, tools, and applications. The Providers Directory includes the firms & consultants who directly apply new qualitative research methods.
Aside from the continuously updated user guide and directory, the NewQualitative.org website features the NewQual Blog written by leading qualitative research experts. The blog is full of practical advice, thought-provoking opinions, and valuable insights.
With so many new options available and emerging, qualitative research providers and their clients face the difficult task of choosing the best methods and the most appropriate tools to meet their research objectives. Our hope is that the New Qualitative Research publication and website will offer the guidance, resources, and inspiration that you seek.
Kristin Schwitzer is my counterpart at “NewQual”, and she has assembled some of the pioneers of emerging qualitative techniques to join her in providing the finest content related to qualitative research.
The GreenBook has partnered with QRCA on this initiative as well, so you can expect access to the best that industry-leading organization has to offer as well. It’s truly a very exciting offering and I am sure all of our readers will want to make NewQual a daily destination as well!
