Insight Innovation Comes To Europe!

I am thrilled to share this news with our readers!

After selling out the last Insight Innovation eXchange (IIeX) conference held in Philadelphia, we’re now expanding the event series to Europe! IIeX Europe will be held at the Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam on February 19th-20th, 2014. The conference will continue to focus on connecting client-side insights departments with the innovative solutions they need to make business impact. Registration and call for speakers are now open.

IIeX is the product of years of working to help the research industry grow and prosper during challenging times and we are extremely proud of the impact we’ve had so far and are excited about the new opportunities this further global expansion will provide for us all.

Three things make the Insight Innovation eXchange truly different from other conferences:

First, we work with advisors from global brands such as Unilever, Ericsson, Procter & Gamble, and ESPN to develop an agenda that directly answers the needs of clients.

Second, we create an environment in which client-side stakeholders, market research firms, and technology providers from outside the marketing insights space can connect and do business.

And, third, we instill the cooperative spirit rather than the competitive spirit, which is not only evident in the topics of data philanthropy, adjacent partnerships, and non-traditional collaboration being much discussed, but also in the business developments and partnerships we have seen come out of introductions made at IIeX.

We carry that collaborative spirit into all aspects of the conference and are thrilled to welcome our newest partners:

Suffice to say IIeX is NOT the usual MR conference, and we intend to continue to experiment with format and topics while building upon the proven success of our events in 2013.

The last Insight Innovation eXchange conference held in North America this past June welcomed nearly 500 marketing and insights professionals. Twenty two innovative technology startups presented their solutions in response to a crowdsourced initiative we call The Insight Innovation Challenge, through which client research organizations had the opportunity to anonymously submit their business challenges. We will continue that for IIeX Europe.

The conference also hosted the Insight Innovation Competition, whose mission is to help budding entrepreneurs bring disruptive ideas to life while connecting brands to fresh and untapped sources of competitive advantage through deeper consumer understanding. Now in it’s fourth phase, we’ll hold the competition once again and are working on developing an expanded network of funding and advisory partners to help young companies succeed.

Don’t take my word for it though: here are just two quotes from the many we glowing reviews we received from attendees:

“I am a fan of IIeX. My hope is that this will be a starting point for the market research industry to truly think differently and become the provocateurs and leaders we ought to be. The speed-dating sessions for new, innovative companies and buyers of research were extremely helpful for me as I was able to vet many companies in a very shot period of time. I left with a number of great contacts and new ideas as a direct result.”  – Kyle Nel, International and Multicultural Research of Lowe’s Home Improvement.

“It is time to be brave and courageous — time to reinvent ourselves and our industry. If the nearly 500 people present at IIeX are leading that charge, I have no doubt that we will not only evolve, but transform ourselves. For the first time in over twenty years, I didn’t feel overwhelmed by agencies at a conference (and yes, I felt some trepidation going in). The feeling I experienced was one of collaboration and shared goals–the clients, the agencies, the tech companies, and academia, all seeking that bright new future. The event was incredible. – Lisa Courtade, Executive Director of Insight Innovation, Merck & Co., Inc.
